A journey he has already begun with his infectious hook on the "BadMan" collaboration with Mode9 which earned the award for 'Lyricist on the Roll' at the HipHop World Awards 2010. Now with the release of his own full version of the BadMan stint- "SwaggerMan Dope" and a couple of chart banging singles such as "College SweetHeart", "Jo o" & "Ur Going Home Wif Me 2nite" from his upcoming debut album STUDIO & STAGE, A1 aka Sugar Boy is easily setting off a style and a flavor that are all his own. 

Having a great flair for studio engineering and music production, A1 began his creative journey as a studio boy, making great tracks from his room/school studio, popularly known as BBTen, while at the University of Port Harcourt. 
Now glowing in the reflection of the musical magic constantly created by the CEO/Producer of 2muchMUZIK (RunDaTrax Nigeria), Desiimurl Desekere and alongside a management deal with Wahala Media Entertainment (the fast-rising entertainment company that revealed the dynamic female songstress, Nikki Laoye) , everyone gets a better glimpse at who A1 is today- an amazing songwriter, vocalist and co-producer as well.

Looking toward the future, the Akwa Ibom Indigene, known as Akanimo Felix Umoren, sees himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music industry and in his own words, "Music is the love of my life.
