Michael Okechukwu Anyasodo was born on December 10th 1983 in Warri, Delta State, into a Christian family of two.

At the tender age of six, young Mike lost his father and relocated to Aba in Abia State where he spent the formative years of his life, He acquired primary and secondary school education in Aba. Growing up wasn’t easy for Mike, especially without a father figure. He learnt to fend for himself from an early age, struggling alongside his mother to put food on the table.

He broke onto the Nigerian music scene when he emerged the winner of MTN's Project Fame Season 2.

Mike is involved in arts and craft in his spare time. He writes songs when he is excited and reads when he is bored. He enjoys clubbing and his two favourite night clubs are Hotel Benizia and Neros.

Mike is influenced musically by John legend, Lemar and Bob Marley. He admits that Faze has a special place in his heart. Surprisingly, he gets some inspiration from Africa’s first black Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka.
