Jagz of All Trades
The self acclaimed 'producer extra-ordinaire artist of the year', chocolate city veteran and brother to the MAMA 2009 best new act and Hip Hop Award winner; Mr Incredible (MI), has finally dropped the long awaited album tagged 'Jagz of All Trades'.
It has already started bagging accolades, besides previously released hit single 'Watten Dey' and 'Pump It Up' (Which have 'thankfully' been included in the final album) the album boast of a wide range of styles sampled accross several genres. This does not come as much of a surprise considering the album name and fans are definitely bound to get entranced by this new style. He definately lends his talent as a producer/artist to this album as each track has with it a unique blend of his personality.
Right from the encore track 'Take Over ft. Ice Prince' (which i'd say is getting mad hypes and airplay) to the most controversial diss track 'Nobody Test Me ft. MI and Ice Prince' (which is definately a crowd pleaser) the album comes packed full with even tighter tracks such as 'shorty', 'intoxicated ft. Wizkid & Soul E', 'greatest' and sooo much more. Even comes with tracks such as 'jargo' for the electro-dancehall lovers or 'Number One' with its raggae twist.
I'd say the album is worthy of every penny and time spent but it could have been lost more (maybe its just the subconscious over-expectation of the album considering his bro's previous success, it definitely remains dwarfed by the 'talk about it' album).
Jesse jagz is great with the flow but sometimes its just overkilling, we love the south/kanye fill but it kinda just doesn't work if you aint kanye bro.
Our rating: 7/10
