Goldie Harvey continues to evolve! From that random babe that was introduced to millions of Nigerians on Music Africa with her rather off key "Party With me" song, she's turned into a diva style "You Know It" pop wonder. Signed on to Kennis Music, Goldie's music has blown up plenty and is fast becoming a movement.
Gold is a 15 track album that seems to jump right at you from the get go. The first few tracks on the album are upbeat and extremely funky - barring the dreary "Who's The Bawse ft Keke" where she pays homage to Keke (who had surprisingly good vocals). The album oozes of Kennis Music's influence and has a host of prime producers as well as A-list artistes featured on the album including Banky W, eLDee, Jaywon, Femi, Kas and Magnito.
Listening through the album is a pretty decent experience and the quality is on point! Beautifully mastered mainly by Indomix, the diamond in the not-so-rough album is "Don't Touch" which, amazingly, is a solo track from Goldie. It seems she's finally found a style that suits her well and she's going full throttle on it too.
Recommended songs on the album are "You Know it", "Jawo Jawo", "Get Loose", "Point & Kill" and "Don't Touch".
